Programme Description

A well-structured program that provides graduates with skills and knowledge in Accounting and Finance, this course results in a respected University degree. Graduates will also earn a sound knowledge of the principles and concepts of accounting and finance, a familiarity with significant literature in the field and the ability to review, consolidate, extend and apply financial knowledge and techniques.

The degree produces graduates with the knowledge, skills and understanding of best practice and an appreciation of the value of research, critical thinking and effective communication. Students will develop professional aptitude in areas such as banking, accounting, corporate finance, risk management, business analysis and share valuation, plus the appropriate accounting and financial nous to meet the present and future demands of the business sector.

Career Prospects


Financial managers oversee the preparation of financial reports, direct investment activities and implement cash management strategies. Managers also develop strategies and implement long-term goals and plans. Graduates have the opportunity to build a career in the areas of banking, accounting, corporate finance, risk management, insurance, business analysis and share valuations.
